Japan Philippi Mission

From Hokkaido to Okinawa · Since 2019

Since 2019, Japan Philippi Mission has been a missionary community carrying God's heart for Japan, praying and serving so that the gospel may flow across the land from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

Just as Israel found rest by the springs and palm trees of Elim on their journey through the wilderness, our regular worship is a place where those who carry Japan in their hearts gather to be renewed through the Word and praise. Through worship, prayer, song, and fellowship, we build one another up and go out again to where we have been called.

In 2025, we celebrated our 6th anniversary with a thanksgiving heritage tour, looking back on the road we have traveled and giving thanks for God's faithfulness.

"And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters."

Exodus 15:27 (KJV)

Greeting

Shalom! May the peace of the Lord be with you all.

After the 2017 Pohang earthquake, during a season of serving those who had lost their homes, God gave me a special calling for Japan while I was in Fukuoka. Whenever I thought of Japan, I deeply felt the Father's heart of God for lost souls, and in obedience to that calling, Japan Philippi Mission was established as a community that prays and worships for Japan.

Through Hesed Japan, the Japan Vision Trip, and various ministries including Japanese language education and Japanese culture ministry, we have met churches and missionaries in Japan, learning, praying, and working together with them.

Now, Japan Philippi Mission hopes to go beyond the ministry of a single church — to connect churches and missionaries in Korea and Japan, and to become a center and rallying point for raising up mission to Japan together.

We invite you to share God's heart for Japan with us and to sow the seeds of the gospel together through prayer, love, and partnership.

May Japan Philippi Mission become a channel of God's mission, connecting Korea and Japan, and connecting people with people.
